Solid design, great functionality : Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol X1 Performance DJ Controller
I love this midi controller! I use scratch live serato with pc and installing this midi controller to control serato was super easy and all the buttons light up making it easy to see in the dark environment. However, when used in serato the switches won't light up bright when pressed or in operation so I had to download a program for it. Also, it didn't come with a good carry on box or a protective case so I had to buy one. That's why I gave it three stars instead of five. If you use searto or traktor you will love it though.

Yamaha hs50m is nothing like any other monitors. I considered them ALL before finally making my choice, and by ALL i mean ALL. Thing is, i didnt want to overkill my home studio and i didnt have thousands of dollars to drain for fancy brand name monitors... Turns out, you can get a fancy brand name monitors without draining your money. And here they are, Yamaha HS50m!
They are no just some m-audio or samson or whatever else crap outthere. They are like a good friend who is straightforward telling you truth all the time. All your mistakes in a mix sound so obvious on Yamahas that you can't miss them, unless you are deaf... If you make your mix sound good on these... NO its not gonna sound good e erywhere, thats lies. Its not gonna sound good on a cracked speaker, on a broken PA or a... You got the point. But it will sound neat and professional on any sound system, ipod, car stereo... And they are surprisingly cheap. And you can get them even cheaper if you research internet and put some time in it! Overal, amazing monitors! P.s. The comments regarding lack of low frequencies are total BS. For those who dont know the low freq limit in their rap/hiphop whatever, just get those bassy KRK. These Yamahas are for real mixing mastering situations.

152 Built-In Songs and Ten User Songs

Step Up Lessons
To master a song, it is best to break it up into shorter parts (phrases), master the phrases, and then put everything together. The CTK-5000 features a "Step Up Lesson" feature that helps you to do just that. The built-in songs are pre-divided into phrases to help you master keyboard play. Step Up Lesson takes you through practice of the right hand part, left hand part, and both hand parts for each phrase of a song. Master all of the phrases and you master the song.
Music Challenge Keyboard Game
Music Challenge is a game that measures your reaction speed as you press keys in response to on-screen keyboard indicators and fingering guide indications.
Auto Accompaniment
With Auto Accompaniment, simply select an accompaniment pattern. Each time you play a chord with your left hand the appropriate accompaniment will play automatically. It's like having a personal backup group along with you wherever you go.
You can also edit and save up to 10 of your own auto accompaniment patterns.
Auto Harmonize
Auto Harmonize automatically adds harmony to notes you play with your right hand, which adds rich depth to the melody of your performances. You can select from among 12 types of Auto Harmonize to suit the type of music you are playing.
Arpeggiator
The Arpeggiator makes it possible to play an arpeggio pattern automatically. There are 90 different arpeggio patterns from which to choose in order to match the music you are playing.
Transpose Function
An easy operation instantly changes the key of the keyboard.
Audio Input
Play along with MP3 or CD players or other devices by plugging them into the stereo mini input jack.
Battery or AC Power
Power the CTK-5000 with six D-sized batteries or purchase the AD-5 AC adapter separately to power from your electrical outlets. Built-in speakers make the keyboard entirely portable.

Frustrated at first but now everything's okay : Casio CTK-5000 61 Key Digital Keyboard
Loaded with features. Acoustic sounds are pretty real, leads and pads are great, better yet is layering them and make up your own sounds.
Internal speakers are loud and clear with no noise, and so does when fully amplified into a Pa.
Using it is simple and having a Sd card gives a practically limitless warehouse for setups and songs.
operation has been enhanced from previews generation Casios (ie Wk 3300 and such). It is deep and practically as hard as a "semi weighted" or "light weighted", I am used to an acoustic upright piano and I love it. It still makes a limited noise when pressed but not as much as the previews generation.
It`s very light for transportation.
As usb-midi controller it works very well. Connecting it to a Pc was what plug and play was meant to be. WinXp and all the software I tried recognized it immediately and worked perfectly.
As drawback the back connectors aren't fixed to the chassis but to the internal circuit, so they don't feel too strong. And the Ac adapter must be bought separately.
